The event drew numerous participations from the local students and children. The volunteers of the clubs coordinated with the kind-hearted people, teachers and students to organize a wide range of activities such as lion dance, play performance, lantern procession, preparation of Mid-Autumn Festival Feast among others.

On the occasion, the Organization Board presented 15 bicycles (each worth 1.5 million VND/65 USD) and 70 gifts each comprising of reading lamp and bag (valued at 200,000 VND/9USD) to the disadvantaged students with good academic results.

The gifts were totally worth over 40 million VND (1,700 USD) sponsored by the clubs and philanthropists.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival for all children

(BGO) – Various activities will be launched to welcome the Mid-Autumn Festival 2018 by the Councils of Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organisation (Pioneer Organisation) in Bac Giang province, districts and city in 100 percent of school pioneer unions and divisions of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (Youth Union) in the residential areas from the 12th to 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar targetting at a joyful, safe, practical and meaningful event.

 

Lion dance teams to celebrate mid-Autumn festival

Teams from China, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam will compete in the International Kylin and Lion Dance competition at Da Nang’s Helio entertainment centre on September 14-16.

Hundreds of lanterns will cast their glow across the pedestrian streets around Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi, on the evening of September 23, the fourteenth day of the eighth lunar month.
