Bac Giang speeds up key projects

In the run-up to the Reunification Day and May Day holidays (April 30 and May 1), on many traffic and civil projects in Bac Giang province, the working atmosphere is very urgent. Despite the hot weather, engineers and workers still focus on building items, and even work overnight to get the projects completed before the deadlines.

On the construction site of the provincial Center for Disease Control (CDC) in Tan My commune, Bac Giang city, excavators and bulldozers are working at full capacity.

Although the weather in early summer is quite hot, each group of workers still diligently work to complete welding the pipes of the firefighting system on the yard, and urgently install doors for rooms, air conditioners and elevators.

Construction on the CDC started at the end of June 2023 with a total cost of 186 billion VND (7.34 million USD) sourced from the central and provincial budgets. To date, the project has completed 70% of the workload and is expected to have all done in early October this year, about a month ahead of schedule.

Similarly, at the construction site of a road from the Huong Son Industrial Cluster in Lang Giang district to National Highway 1A, despite the late afternoon, hundreds of workers still worked diligently to speed up the completion of the remaining items.

At many other traffic and construction projects such as Dong Son Bridge in Yen The district; the renovation and upgrading of the road from Cao Xa commune to Lam Cot commune in Tan Yen district; the road connecting National Highway 37 to National Highway 31 in Doi Ngo town, Luc Nam district, contractors are focusing on mobilising machinery and human resources to accelerate progress, striving to complete and put into operation them before schedule.

According to competent agencies, in recent years, each year the province and localities have spent trillions of VND in public investment capital to invest in the construction and upgrading of traffic and civil works.

The road from Cao Xa commune to Lam Cot commune (Tan Yen) is being accelerated.

This year alone, the province has about 15 key provincial-level projects such as roads, bridges and civil works whose construction progress is being accelerated.

In addition, there are dozens of key projects that are inner-district and inter-regional roads in districts, towns and Bac Giang city. Of which, many large-scale projects have been completed and put into use, playing an important role in promoting traffic connectivity between areas in the province and between Bac Giang and neighboring provinces, thus boosting investment attraction and socio-economic development.

With the spirit and high determination of investors and contractors, key works and projects of the province are being urgently sped up and expected to be completed ahead of schedule.
