20,000 more labours attracted to work in Bac Giang’s Industrial Parks

BAC GIANG - According to the Bac Giang Provincial Industrial Park Management Board, the number of workers coming to work at the industrial parks in Bac Giang province continues to increase to a record high.

Accordingly, up to now, there are about 217,000 labourers in the province's industrial parks, the highest ever, an increase of 20,000 people compared to last month.

Of which, about 8,500 workers are foreigners while 208,500 people are domestic workers (local workers account for about 60%). This proves that Bac Giang industry continues to grow strongly.

This result is achieved thanks to joint efforts of all levels, sectors and the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board to promote the investment attraction since the beginning of this year.

As a result, for the first 8 months of the year, the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board has licensed 31 new projects (24 foreign direct investment projects, 7 domestic investment projects) with a total registered capital of 255.55 million USD and more than 5.27 trillion VND; allowed 163 projects to make adjustment, 46 of which increased capital by more than 699.4 million USD and more than 818.8 billion VND, making up total capital of more than 1.2 billion USD.

In order to support enterprises, the province established many delegations to promote labor in the provinces of Cao Bang, Hoa Binh, Lang Son, Son La and various universities of Thai Nguyen Industry, Hanoi Industry, Hanoi University of Technology.

At the same time, the enterprises in the industrial park also actively post labor recruitment information on social network like Facebook, Zalo... with incentives on income, housing rental support to attract workers.

In addition, the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board also coordinates with relevant departments, sectors and units to promptly prevent and recommend handling of any violator in the field of labor and social insurance payment, helping workers feel secure at work.
