Bac Giang: Doctors commended for technical transfer achievements

(BGO) - The provincial Department of Health has given a surprise reward to doctor Than Van Cuong from the Department of Nephrology - Endocrinology - Dialysis under the provincial General Hospital for his outstanding achievements in transferring new and specialized techniques for lower-level medical facilities.

In the past time, Cuong has focused on transferring basic and advanced artificial kidney techniques serving cyclic dialysis for patients with chronic glomerulonephritis at the Luc Ngan district Medical Center. This is a difficult technique that was only conducted at the provincial and central-level hospitals previously.
Now it is available at district health facilities, thus creating favorable conditions for patients in need in the locality. This result was obtained thanks to great contributions of higher-level doctors who had directly transferred the technique.
The Luc Ngan district Medical Center currently has 10 dialysis machines serving cyclic dialysis for 20 patients.
