Bac Giang draws over 100 investment projects in first 9 months

(BGO) – Amid the common difficulties, Bac Giang province has recently achieved positive result in investment attraction. Since early this year, the province has attracted 941 million USD of invested capital, accounting for 95.3 percent of the same period last year.

The province licensed 79 new domestic direct investment (DDI) projects with total registered capital of 7,730 billion USD (335 million USD) (up 5.1 times) and 22 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with total registered capital of 307.9 million USD (making up 43 percent against last year figure).

Besides,15 DDI and 38 FDI projects were given a nod to add more capital up to 303 billion VND (335 million USD) and 288.3 million USD respectively (up 40.1 percent).

Particularly in September, the province attracted 12.5 million USD of invested capital, in which 9 DDI projects were licensed and adjusted with total registered capital of 196 billion VND (8.49 million USD), one DDI project added more 20 billion VND (866,900 USD) in capital and 4 FDI projects were adjusted to add more 3.2 million USD in the registered capital.

The DDI projects mostly are outside the industrial parks with the attracted capital of 7,465 billion VND (323.5 million USD), making up 96.6 percent of the DDI capital in the province while the big FDI projects are inside the industrial parks with total worth of 296.8 million USD, accounting for 96.4 percent of the FDI capital in the province.

Besides, the province has accelerated the activities to support and develop the business. Though the number of newly established enterprises decreased due to impact of Covid-19 pandemic, the business scale increased. In the first 9 months of this year, 790 new businesses were newly established, down 11.6 percent comparing to the same period last year but the registered capital hit 8,108 billion VND (351.4 million USD), up 3.9 percent.
