Bac Giang health sector adds more than 1,100 new techniques
BAC GIANG - In order to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, since early this year, the Department of Health in Bac Giang province has newly and additionally approved for 1,161 new and specialized techniques, 469 of which are deployed at public medical facilities, the remaining at private ones.
A number of new high and modern techniques have been deployed such as: Cerebrovascular intervention in patients with acute cerebral infarction at the Provincial General Hospital; resection of duodenal mass - pancreatic head at Provincial Oncology Hospital; hemodialysis serves patients with end-stage chronic kidney failure at Yen Dung District Medical Center; Thyroid immunoassay, total hysterectomy surgery at Luc Nam District Medical Center among others.

Thanks to the implementation of high and modern techniques, the quality of examination and treatment at medical facilities has been improved.
Specifically, in the first quarter of 2024, the total number of medical examinations and treatments at medical facilities hit nearly 656,000 turns, reaching 26.4% of the yearly plan and equal to 123.7% over the same period in 2023.
Besides, the total number of inpatient treatments was more than 67,800, reaching 25.2% of the year's plan and equal to 115.2% over the same period.
To improve the quality of people's health care, along with implementing the project to renovate and repair facilities and purchase medical equipment for public health facilities, this year, the medical sector will focus resources on deploying a number of specialized techniques such as: SPEC/CT technique in bone scan, thyroid scan, and iodine 131.
