Bac Giang implements e-invoicing roadmap
Recognizing the benefits of e-invoicing, for many years, Samkwang Vina Co., Ltd., based in the Quang Chau Industrial Park (Viet Yen district) has quickly fulfilled tax obligations with the tax authorities thanks to the use of e-invoices. Song Jong Deuk, General Director of the company, said that his company is a large-scale manufacturer of electronic components. Being aware of the importance of using e-invoices, since it came into operation in 2018, the company has invested in equipment to get connected to the portal of the tax authorities and purchased electronic tax payment software for use. In 2020, despite the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the enterprise maintained well its production activities, contributing nearly 50 billion VND (2.16 million USD) to the local budget.

Under the guidance of the tax authorities, the company completed the online tax payment and e-invoicing in the beginning of March 2021. “E-invoicing is very convenient as businesses do not have to go to the tax agencies to make transactions, cutting down many procedures in the tax payment process, thus reducing costs and time”, Song Jong Deuk added.
Similarly, Hoang Thi P from Huong Lac commune (Lang Giang district), said previously, she used to go to the tax authority’s headquarters to make declarations, submit papers and conduct procedures, so it took her a lot of time. This year, she was instructed by staff of the Lang Giang-Luc Nam Regional Tax Sub-department to download the electronic tax refund declaration software to her computer. Thanks to that, she carried out all the procedures at home and sent them to the tax agency quickly and accurately.
According to the provincial Tax Department, the province now sees more than 52 percent of the units, individuals and enterprises using e-invoices, naming itself in the group of provinces and cities with a quite high e-invoicing rate in the country. In which, e-invoices are mainly used by administrative and non-business units and enterprises.
Under the Government’s Decree 123 on regulations related to invoices, starting from July 1, 2022, all units, individuals and businesses are required to use e-invoices. In order to apply the e-invoicing before the prescribed deadline, in the second quarter of this year, the provincial Tax Department will continue to organize training courses on this content for businesses and taxpayers. It will also publish a list of e-invoicing service providers so that units, individuals and businesses can contact to buy software. The department will set e-invoicing plans and targets for each regional tax sub-department.
The unit intends to regularly hold dialogues with taxpayers to promptly solve arising problems; prepare facilities and equipment to put the e-invoice management software with the tax authority's authentication code into use immediately upon the request of the General Department of Taxation. For non-business units and newly established enterprises, the taxation sector will coordinate with the provincial Department of Planning and Investment, the provincial Industrial Zones Authority, and the People's Committees of districts and city to guide them to apply e-invoicing from the beginning. According to a representative of the provincial Tax Department, with the determination and efforts of the tax sector, it is expected that this year all enterprises in the province will apply e-invoicing. The sector also strives for e-invoicing to cover all units and individuals throughout the province before July 2022.
