The northern province of Bac Giang has been a spot light in voluntary blood donation (VBD) movement nationwide for years. Particularly, the province organized 37 VBD festivals and received more than 28,000 blood units in 2024, exceeding the set target.

The campaign this year will take place from January 1 to March 1 with an aim to mobilise and receive at least 5,000 blood units including 60 percent of the blood units with volume from 350ml while calling on 200 people with rare blood types to donate blood for emergency cases during Tet holiday.

The launching ceremony was followed by the VBD festival, which took place on January 4 and 5. It was expected to receive 2,000 blood units meeting standards of the Ministry of Health.
