BAC GIANG – During the 2024 Red Spring Festival (launched on January 7,
lasting for nearly 2 months), the Bac Giang Provincial Steering Committee for
Voluntary Blood Donation (VBD), the Red Cross Society, a number of schools and
businesses in the province joined hands to organize 14 VBD festivals.
More than 7,200 qualified people donated over 9,500 units of blood, reaching 237.8 percent of the campaign plan and 59 percent of the year plan. Some units with high results were Tan Yen (1,300 units of blood), Luc Nam (1,255 units of blood), Luc Ngan (1,100 units), Lang Giang (1,001 units)...

The above results were achieved thanks to the close collaboration of the Provincial Steering Committee with departments, branches and localities to well communicate, raise awareness and benefits of blood donation as well as actively mobilize officials, armed forces, youth union members, workers and all classes of people to participate in the campaign.
2024 is the 16th year that Bac Giang province has launched the Red Spring Festival. This activity is deeply humane, aiming to further preserve the compassionate tradition of the Vietnamese people, thereby, helping overcome the blood scarcity.

October 25, the Bac Giang provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood
Donation (VBD) campaign coordinated with the VBD Steering Board in Bac Giang
City to organize the 3rd Blood Donation Festival in 2023. It attracted the
participation of nearly 700 people, union members, officers and soldiers of the
armed forces in the city.

The Red Journey blood donation drive 2023 was held widely in 46 provinces and cities across the country. Throughout its 11 editions, the campaign has not only been established as an effective solution to address the shortage of blood for treatment every summer, but has also contributed to inspiring compatriotism, and mutual support for the Vietnamese people.
4,560 blood units donated at Red Journey Programme

After 2 months launching the 2023 Red Journey blood donation programme (from 1
June to 31 July), Bac Giang province has organized 4 voluntary blood donation
festivals attracting nearly 3,500 participants. The campaign has received 4,560
safe blood units, meeting the criteria of the Ministry of Health and exceeding
52 percent against the plan (3,000 units).
