For recent year, the VBD movement in the district has received due attention from local party and authority as well as all strata of people.

Since 2009, the district Steering Board has launched 25 VBD festivals, attracting more than 12,000 participants who donated 13,000 blood units.

Many collectives, families and individuals have outstanding achievement in blood donation such as the district People's Procuracy, Quynh Son commune, Canh Thuy commune, Yen Dung High School No. 2, Luong family (Tien Phong commune), Bui Thi Bich Ngoc's family (Nham Bien town)...

On this occasion, the provincial Steering Committee for VBD rewarded 97 collectives, families and individuals with outstanding blood donation achievements.

Right after the honoring ceremony, 400 officials, cadres, staff, armed force, youth member and labourers in the area joined third VBD festival in 2023 and donated 496 safe blood units.

Thus, the district Steering Board received 1,802 blood units in three VBD festivals in 2023, accounting for 150.2 percent of the yearly target.
