The event was attended by Bui Thi Hoa, President of the Central Vietnam Red Cross Society, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the National Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign; Le Thi Thu Hong, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, Honorary Chairwoman of the Provincial Red Cross Society.

Red Journey is a cross-Vietnam campaign to mobilize blood donation chaired by the National Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign in coordination with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion and VTVCorp.

This year is the 11th edition with the message "Connecting Vietnamese blood". It is being rolled out in 51 cities and provinces, aiming to raise public awareness of the work, with at least 120,000 units of blood expected to be collected from June 2 to July 28.

In Bac Giang, at the end of the festival, the Organizing Committee received 1,022 units of safe blood.

On this occasion, 110 outstanding collectives and individuals in the efforts received certificates of merit from the VRC Central Committee and the provincial People’s Committee.

Nearly 700 people in Bac Giang city donate blood voluntarily

4,560 blood units donated at Red Journey Programme

(BGO) - After 2 months launching the 2023 Red Journey blood donation programme (from 1 June to 31 July), Bac Giang province has organized 4 voluntary blood donation festivals attracting nearly 3,500 participants. The campaign has received 4,560 safe blood units, meeting the criteria of the Ministry of Health and exceeding 52 percent against the plan (3,000 units).
