The provincial leaders’ first stop was the Quang Chau Industrial Park infrastructure construction and business project (Phase 2). The project covers an area of 90 hectares, including 84.25 hectares of agricultural land and 5.75 ha of land for transportation and irrigation in Van Trung commune and Nenh township.

Specifically, about 60 hectares in Van Trung commune are set aside for the project. Up to now, 777 out of 972 local households have signed land clearance documents and received compensation for more than 46 hectares. There are still 50 households refusing to get compensation (excluding those in Trung Dong village). In Nenh township, the acquired land is 22.8 hectares, affecting 316 households in Yen Ninh residential area. Of which, 19 households have not received compensation for an area of 1.69 hectares.

On the same day, the working delegation inspected the Petro Binh Minh general port warehouse construction project and the Dinh Tram-Sen Ho urban area project. The Dinh Tram-Sen Ho project has a total acquired area of about 76.1 hectares, involving 860 households and individuals. More than 600 graves must be moved. With the close coordination and efforts of concerned parties in reviewing the area and type of land, 20.88 hectares of cleared land has been handed over to the investor. The concerned units are completing documents to give another 7.37 hectares to the investor.

Meanwhile, Quang Chau commune plans to retrieve about 80 hectares of land for the Petro Binh Minh general port warehouse project, affecting more than 200 households in Dao Ngan 2 and Nam Ngan villages.

To speed up the site clearance, Viet Yen district has been focusing on a number of solutions. For the Quang Chau Industrial Park infrastructure construction and business project (Phase 2), it will continue to persuade local residents and pay compensation for the remaining households. For other projects, the district will continue to persuade households to receive compensation and solve problems arising in the implementation process to speed up the project progress.

At a working session with leaders of Viet Yen district, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Le Anh Duong acknowledged and praised the local efforts in site clearance work. He said that the three projects have an important role in socio-economic development not only in Viet Yen district but also in Bac Giang province. Therefore, he urged the district to drastically direct the site clearance for the projects, not to miss opportunities to attract large investors to the province.

The Dinh Tram - Sen Ho urban area project is the first large-scale project of Viet Yen district. It is believed to the "core" for the district to become a town in the future, so it is necessary to gather all resources to complete this project in 2021. Meanwhile, the Petro Binh Minh general port warehouse project, if put into operation, will contribute to increasing local budget revenue, so the district has to work hard to carry out the project this year.

On the basis of evaluating and grasping the implementation of projects, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Anh Duong asked Viet Yen district to stay determined to complete all the projects. As for the site clearance for the Quang Chau Industrial Park project (Phase 2) in Trung Dong village, he agreed to give financial support for people who gave land to build ditches, but requested a rational and fair calculation to avoid causing discontents.

The provincial leader also noted that the site clearance must ensure the full interests of the people.
