Bac Giang wins 10 medals at National Sambo Club Championship
BAC GIANG - On May 27, the Vietnam Administration of Sports (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nam Dinh province to wrap up the National Sambo Club Championships 2024, the first edition of its kind held at a national scale.
The Championship took place from May 25 to 28, attracting the participation of 150 athletes from 14 provinces, cities and industries including: People's Army, Bac Giang, Thua Thien Hue, Ha Nam, Thai Nguyen, Thai Binh, Nghe An, Hau Giang, Binh Phuoc, Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Ha Giang, Nam Dinh and Thanh Hoa.

Male and female athletes competed individually in two contents: Sport Sambo and Combat Sambo with 14 weight groups ranging from under 58 kg to over 80 kg.
13 atheletes of Bac Giang delegation participated in the tournament in 13 weight groups in both Sport Sambo and Combat Sambo content. All are members of the Bac Giang Jujitsu team who are trained and practiced more in Sambo. As a result, the Bac Giang delegation won 10 medals; including 2 Gold Medals (HCV), 1 Silver Medal and 7 Bronze Medals.

2 gold medals went to athlete Do Thi Hoai Uyen in the Sport Sambo content, weight group of over 80 kg and athlete Chu Thi Huyen in the Combat Sambo content, weight group of under 65 kg. These two atheletes won high rankings at the National Jujitsu Championship held in Can Tho last April.
