The American billionaire and his girlfriend Paula Hurd arrived at around 10:45 a.m. at the tennis court located on the peninsula in Son Tra District. This tennis court is under the management of the resort but is located outside the campus in a public area and separated from the resort by a residential road.

The billionaire and his girlfriend each paired up with a Vietnamese man.

They played on the large tennis court for about 45 minutes, then continued to play on the smaller side court.

During the break between sets, Gates and his girlfriend got their own drinks, without needing the care of the staff.

Gates wore a purple T-shirt, white pants, shoes and a black fedora. At nearly 70 years old, he is still agile in moving and controlling space, accurate in contact and finishing the ball.

He also smiled brightly at his teammate every time his team won points.

Because the tennis court is in a public space, many people visiting Son Tra peninsula on the concrete road above the resort could watch the billionaire and his girlfriend playing.

The couple finished playing at 12:05 p.m. and moved back to the resort.

Gates is a fan of tennis and handball. Last year, he posted a video online explaining the rules of pickleball and called himself a "pickler."

He occasionally participates in horseback riding, rugby and table tennis.

Gates and his girlfriend landed in Da Nang International Airport on their private plane, one of Gulfstream G650ER model, on Monday, marking his return to Vietnam after 18 years.

The couple are having a personal trip to Da Nang and Hoi An for about 5 days. He is staying at a 5-star resort in Da Nang's Son Tra District.

On Wednesday, they enjoyed tea and watched the sunset on Ban Co mountain peak of Son Tra Peninsula.
