The contest aims to introduce and promote the historical and cultural traditions together with the socio-economic development achievements of Bac Giang province and Bac Giang city to friends across the country through musical works.

This year, the contest attracted more than 90 contestants from provinces and cities nationwide, some coming from Ho Chi Minh City and Tien Giang Province. They are students from schools, art schools or members of professional art troupes.

Through the preliminary round, the Organizing Committee selected 12 excellent candidates for the final round, representing 3 performance styles of 3 music genres: Chamber music, folk music and light music.

At the end, the Organizing Committee awarded 3 First Prizes, 3 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes, 3 Promising Prizes and 1 Consolation Prize.

With excellent performances, contestant Nguyen Van Loc (Ho Chi Minh City) won First Prize in the Chamber Music category; contestant Ninh Trinh Quang Minh (Thanh Hoa) won First Prize in the Light Music category; contestant Vu Duc Kien (Bac Giang) won First Prize in the Folk Music category and was awarded the prize for the best song about Bac Giang.
