New high-speed boat route connects HCMC to Con Dao Islands
A new high-speed boat service connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Con Dao Islands is set to launch on March 28.
The service will operate once per day, departing from Saigon Port in District 4, HCMC, at 7:00 a.m, according to the Thanh Thanh Phat transport company, the service's operator. The return journey from Con Dao will start at 11:30 a.m. the following day.

The travel time between the two destinations is approximately five hours.
Ticket prices have yet to be announced.
Currently, travelers from HCMC reach Con Dao by air or by first traveling to Vung Tau beach town, around two hours from HCMC, and then taking a boat to the island.
Con Dao archipelago comprises 16 islands and is located about 185 km away from Vung Tau, including the only-inhabited and largest Con Son. The island is home to around 10,000 people and is a popular destination for tourists.
