Provincial leader directs to build VKTech into high-quality vocational training college

BAC GIANG- Duong Van Thai, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee (PPC), Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation of Bac Giang province on February 20 paid a visit to Vietnam-Korea College of Technology (VKTech) to inspect implementation of their tasks and duties at the beginning of Lunar New Year.

VKTech enrolled 725 students to the college courses and 689 students to vocational training courses in 2023. The college provides training in 22 professions including 7 international-level professions, 5 high-quality professions and 1 profession under 1+1+1 joint-training model. The percentage of students getting jobs after graduating reaches 93 percent.

The College currently has 162 employees and teachers meeting regulated standards. The educational environment has been developed under the principle “green vocational training” and gradually digitalized where connection, sharing, administration and management are based on digital technology data. The practice areas are arranged from basic to intensive levels for effective application of knowledge and skills.

At the meeting, the delegates discussed some contents on organization structure, personnel affairs, self-reliance mechanism, development of training majors, investment in facilities and equipment for the College’s development and cooperative activities in vocational training.

Besides, the participants informed about recruitment demand of enterprises in the industrial parks, orientation for development of industrial professions in the future and the contents to be concerned to boost linkage between the College and enterprises in vocational training and creating jobs.

Concluding the meeting, PPC Secretary Duong Van Thai affirmed the targets: developing human resources to meet the practical requirements and highly concentrating on improving training quality of the universities, colleges, vocational schools and educational institutions in the locality. Qualified human resource training is considered a competitive advantage of Bac Giang province against other localities nationwide.

The PPC Secretary highly appreciated, praised and congratulated the great efforts and achievements gained by the College. In addition, he urged VKTech to continue promoting the sense of solidarity and creativity to build the college into a high-quality college and key vocational training facility of Bac Giang province and the region as well.

Besides, he requested the provincial People’s Committee and related departments and agencies to timely direct and support the College to surmount difficulties and accelerate task implementation to fulfill the set targets.
