For the past few days, urban workers have been busy beautifying the streets with thousands of flower pots and plants. In each area, design units have crafted eye-catching decorations.
Iconic locations, including 3/2 Square, Hung Vuong street, the entrance to Hoang Hoa Tham Park, and the headquarters of the city Party Committee, People’s Council, and People’s Committee, along with the square near Hoang Hoa Tham street in Nham Bien ward, have been adorned with peach blossom models and glowing signs in both Vietnamese and English that read “HAPPY NEW YEAR 2025.”
In some intersections and bridges, vibrant displays of fresh flowers, decorative landscapes, and LED lights have further enhanced the festive ambiance.
Along with the public investment, families in Bac Giang city have joined in campaigns to clean roads, contributing to the urban beautification.

From lowland areas to the mountainous regions, flags, flowers, and banners celebrating both the Lunar New Year and the Party’s founding anniversary fill the province. Despite economic challenges that have led some families to tighten their budgets, people are still purchasing essential, high-quality items for Tet.
To foster a joyful and celebratory atmosphere, Bac Giang province will host nine low-range fireworks displays across seven districts, township, and city at midnight on January 29, marking the first day of the Lunar New Year.
With the goal of ensuring that every family can enjoy Tet, local authorities, businesses, organizations, and philanthropists have all come together to support the community. Companies and organizations are offering bonuses, gifts, and assistance to workers, helping them better prepare for the holiday.
According to Dinh Duc Canh, Chairman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee, more than 35,500 gift packages, valued at over 23.7 billion VND (945,165 USD), have been distributed to poor and near-poor households and those in need.

In addition, several charity houses have been inaugurated just before Tet, bringing joy to impoverished families. By the end of 2024, nearly 1,400 houses will have been built or repaired for people with contributions to the nation, as well as the poor and those in difficult circumstances, providing them with hope and motivation for the future.
The Tet spirit is also alive in hospitals and medical centers - places typically associated with concern and hardship. In these locations, in addition to decorations featuring peach branches, kumquat trees, and fresh flowers, various community and social activities have warmed the hearts of patients.
This year, the provincial Youth Union and the provincial Youth Federation, in collaboration with organizations, businesses, and philanthropists, organized the “Spring of Love – Celebrating Tet with Patients” programme at the provincial General Hospital. Nearly 400 patients, their families, and medical staff enjoyed special performances.
The organizers also distributed hundreds of gifts and chung (square glutinous rice) cakes to patients in need, with a total value of over 100 million VND, all from social donations.
With Tet drawing near, the scent of spring fills the air. On the streets, in district, township and city centers, and throughout the province, people are busily preparing for the holiday. Everyone is making time to gather with their families, looking forward to a new year filled with happiness and peace.
