Tet gifts bring warmth to the poor and policy beneficiaries

On January 18, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC), and Head of the PCC Commission for Communication and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries, poor households, and workers living in difficult circumstances in Tien Giang Province, ahead of the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.

In Cai Lay and Cai Be districts, he distributed 50 gift packages, each worth 2 million VND, to families of policy beneficiaries, and 200 other packages, each consisting of 1 million VND in cash and a present valued at 300,000 VND for poor and near-poor households.

He also gave 200 gifts, valued at 1.3 million VND each, to workers facing hardships at the Long Giang Industrial Zone in Tan Phuoc District.

In anticipation of the upcoming Tet Festival, he extended wishes for health, happiness, and success to the Party committee, authorities, and people of Tien Gian Province, wishing them a joyful and prosperous Tet celebration.

In Nghe An Province, Politburo member and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien participated in an event organised by the provincial Federation of Labour.

At the event, the VFF leader presented 200 gift packages worth 1.3 million VND each to disadvantaged workers in the locality.

On the same day, a delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh visited Lang Giang District in Bac Giang Province, distributing gifts to poor households and workers in the locality.

He delivered 200 Tet gift packages, each worth 1.3 million VND to poor people and ethnic minorities in An Ha, Nghia Haa, Nghia Hung communes, and Kep Town.

He also allocated 300 million VND to support poor ethnic minority households in the province.

On behalf of the Party and State, Deputy PM Binh conveyed New Year greetings and wishes for a peaceful and happy Tet to all Party Committees, authorities, and people of Bac Giang Province.
