Updated: 08:31, 16/09/2019
The telephone check-in service of the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will be applicable for passengers of domestic flights from Hanoi, starting on September 15.

Customers can make a phone call to hotline 1900 6265 from 12 hours to 2 hours prior to the departure time for the check-in. The call is charged 5,000 VND (0.21 USD) per minute.

The telephone check-in service of the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will be applicable for passengers of domestic flights from Hanoi, starting on September 15.

Through the call, passengers can receive confirmation on flight schedule, flight status, necessary procedures and their seats. Boarding passes can then be sent to their e-mail addresses.

The service follows the success of the similar one launched in Ho Chi Minh City this April. Since then, the carrier recorded nearly 3,000 phone calls to the hotline, and about 1,000 passengers used the service.

Instead of waiting in the long queues at the airport counters, customers now have a wide range of options for the check-in, including online check-in via the website, mobile app, and check-in kiosks; telephone check-ins; and in-town check-in sites. The addition of the service will be a great help for passengers, especially during the peak times like long holidays and important festivals.

Vietnam Airlines operates flights to 21 domestic destinations.
