Vietnam introduces its culinary culture in Osaka

The Vietnam Food Day opened at the headquarters of the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka, Japan on August 3, introducing the Vietnamese culinary culture to locals.

On the occasion, Vietnamese Masan Consumer has officially been officially granted permission to export its Chin-Su chili sauce product to the Japanese market.

Delegates kick-start the Vietnam Food Day in Osaka on August 3.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vu Tuan Hai, Consul General of Vietnam in Osaka, stated that culture and cuisine exchange between Vietnam and Japan in general and between the Southeast Asian nation and Kansai region are increasingly being promoted. 

Vietnamese people love Japanese food and products and vice versa, Vietnamese culture and cuisine are increasingly popular in the Japanese market.

On the occasion, Hai also sent his congratulations to Masan Consumer, expressing his hope that the company and Vietnamese products would be more successful in the Japanese market.

Makoto Ryoke, head of the Osaka Department of Public Health and Medical Affairs, congratulated the success of Chin-Su chili sauce in Japan. He emphasised that this is a new step to help more than 350,000 Vietnamese people working in Japan get the opportunity to be closer to their home country cuisine, while Japanese people also have the opportunity to try authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

The Vietnamese culinary culture day in Osaka also features various activities, such as music exchanges and an introduction of Vietnamese dishes to Japanese people.

Vietnam-Japan Culture Exchange Festival opens in Da Nang
The 6th Vietnam-Japan Culture Exchange Festival kicked off in the central city of Da Nang on July 25 evening, offering cultural performances, cuisine, traditional art demonstrations, games and seminars on tourism and human resources development between Japan and Da Nang.
ASEAN-Japan Music Festival 2019 to be held
The ASEAN-Japan Music Festival 2019 will take place at the National Convention Centre, My Dinh, Hanoi, on July 28, with the participation of Vietnamese singers Noo Phuoc Thinh, Dong Nhi and Trong Hieu, as well as many international artistes.
Seeds for seedless watermelons exported to Japan
Loc Troi Group, a leading provider of agricultural services and products in Vietnam, on July 23 announced it had exported 8.1 kg of seeds that will grow into seedless watermelons to Japan.
Vietnamese honoured for promoting Vietnam-Japan relations
As many as 63 organisations and 206 individuals, including four Vietnamese, were honoured on July 23 in a ceremony in Tokyo for their prominent contributions to developing diplomatic ties between Japan with countries and regions.
