Vietnamese community in France celebrates Tet

The Association of Vietnamese People in France (UGVF) and the Vietnamese Cultural Centre in France jointly organised a Tet Festival at Pavillon Baltard in the outskirts of Paris on February 1, which attracted a large number of Vietnamese people.

The event has been held annually so that overseas Vietnamese can gather to welcome the Lunar New Year together.

Addressing the Tet Festival, UGVF Chairman Vuong Huu Nhan extended his best Tet wishes to the Vietnamese community on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2020.

Nhan affirmed that UGVF will strive to operate effectively to maintain and promote the strength and solidarity of the Vietnamese community in France.

He noted that the Tet Festival aims to convey the traditional values of the nation to the Vietnamese community in France.

Various art performances were featured at the event including song and dance performances and martial arts displays by both amateur and professional artists.

Pavilions showcasing traditional Tet foods from regions across Vietnam were also installed in addition to the organisation of various folk games.
