Art exchange fosters ties between Vietnamese, RoK localities
The event is part of activities under the seventh Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival 2019, slated for March 9-16, seeking to tighten solidarity, cooperation
During the exchange night, many unique pieces of traditional arts from the two localities were performed with enthusiasm and full of national identities.

The RoK artisans served the audience with Namdo folk songs, Kayagum (traditional Korean musical instrument) performances and drum dances, while the Dak Lak artisans performed pieces imbued with the mountain and forest identities of the Central Highlands region, such as lithophone solos, T’rung bamboo xylophone duet, K’ram gong execution, and national musical instrumentation.
According to the organizing committee, Dak Lak and Jeollabuk share many similarities concerning natural conditions and folk culture. The art exchange programme helps to strengthen the cooperation and friendship between the two
Joining the 2019 Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, Jeollabuk’s artisans will also perform in the Street Festival on March 9. In addition, the RoK’s artisans and chefs will perform the processing of 6,000 traditional rice crackers and serve tourists for free at the Central Highlands Food Festival a week later.
