The city arranged 6 centralized vaccination points at Dinh Ke Kindergarten, My Do Kindergarten, Dong Thanh No.2 Primary School, Vo Thi Sau Primary School, Ngo Si Lien Secondary School, Tran Phu Secondary School and medical stations in 16 communes and wards.

Apart from health workers of the city, the Department of Health assigned emergency teams from Bac Giang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital together with sufficient equipment and vehicle to present at the vaccination point.

As of 5am on June 8, the city administered 820 vaccine doses to children aged 5 to under 12 (748 doses), children aged 12 to under 18 (36 doses) and adult population (72 doses).

On June 8, the province vaccinated more than 11,400 people against Covid-19. To date, the province injected more than 59,200 Covid-19 vaccine doses as first shot to children (21 percent) and second shot (2.6 percent). Over 110,000 doses were inoculated as fourth shot. (8.6 percent).

Vice Director of the Department of Health Nguyen Thi Thu Huong said Bac Giang strives to cover at least 35 percent of children aged 5 to under 12 with first shot of Covid-19 vaccine, 50 percent of workers at industrial parks with fourth jab by second quarter in 2022.

To realize the target, the Department of Health urged localities and medical centers to be more active in vaccinating people against Covid-19, enhance communication to each household so as to persuade parents and guardians to take the children for sufficient vaccination.
