In the first inoculation drive, the Ministry of Health allocated 3,100 doses of vaccine to the Center for Disease Control in Bac Giang province. This is a Covid-19 vaccine developed by AstraZeneca. The steering committee will organize vaccinations in the coming days to ensure scientific distribution, safety and efficiency.

The target groups prioritized for injection this time under the Government's Resolution No. 21/NQ-CP on the purchase and use of Covid-19 vaccines are front line forces in the pandemic fight, including health workers; people participating in epidemic prevention and control (members of the steering committees for Covid-19 prevention and control at all levels, those working in quarantine areas and in charge of tracking cases and conducting epidemiological investigations, community-based anti-pandemic teams, volunteers and reporters); army and police forces.

The Department of Health has instructed the provincial Center for Disease Control to well prepare the conditions necessary for receiving, storing and transporting the vaccine in accordance with regulations as well as locations, human resources and facilities to ensure a safe vaccination process.
