Bac Giang attracts investment of over 1.46 billion USD

(BGO) - Bac Giang province attracted over 357 million USD of investment capital in December this year, representing 2.6 fold increase year on year, reported the provincial competent sector.

The province granted license to two domestic direct investment (DDI) projects with registered capital of 1,213 billion VND, one foreign direct investment (FDI) project worth five million USD as well as approved for two DDI and three FDI projects to add more capital.

Thus, this year total newly registered and added capital hit about 1.466 billion USD, up 0.2 percent comparing to the figure last year, including 29 new DDI and 23 FDI projects, 13 DDI and 51 FDI projects with added capitals.

Particularly, 17 FDI projects have been licensed in the provincial industrial parks (IP) this year, making total number of investment projects up to 419 with registered capital of nearly 7 million USD in the IP.

Currently, 385 projects are operated with more than 190,000 labours, up about 40,000 people more than the period before Covid-19 outbreak.

According to Head of provincial IP Management Board Dao Xuan Cuong, to welcome more investors in 2022, the province has focused on implementing the site work at newly established and expanded IP; directing infrastructure investors to accelerate the project schedule to create clean land fund to lure sub-investors and boosting the administrative reform to facilitate the investors.
