Bac Giang city hosts art performance marking National Reunification anniversary
BAC GIANG – The Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front of Bac Giang City (Bac Giang province) on April 29 held a special art programme at the February 3 Square marking the 50th anniversary of the National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – 2025), themed “The nation in full joy.”
The programme featured three parts: “Aspiration for peace,” “Song of reunification” and “Vietnam’s everlasting spirit.”

The first part, “Aspiration for peace,” presented rare documentary footage depicting the nation’s painful yet resilient struggle for independence, and the North’s efforts—Bac Giang included—to support the South. Iconic songs such as Cau ho ben bo Hien Luong, Anh o dau song, em cuoi song and Giai phong mien Nam set the tone.
The second segment, “Song of reunification,” featured performances of Dem Truong Son nho Bac, Soi nho, soi thuong, Dang dung Viet Nam, and Dat nuoc tron niem vui, highlighting the spirited march to reunification and the birth of a new era of freedom.
The finale, “Vietnam’s everlasting spirit,” connected historical lessons to today’s achievements, underscoring the enduring significance of the April 30 victory. Songs included Tu hao hai tieng Viet Nam, Ve mien yeu thuong, and Bac Giang, niem tin va khat vong.
The event impressed with large-scale staging, blending music, dance, theater and LED visual technology. Notable performers included acclaimed singers from Sao Mai and Vietnam Idol contests, along with artists from VB Dance and Bac Giang Cheo Theater.
The audience relived the nation’s heroic history and felt deep gratitude for the sacrifices made to achieve independence and unity.
