Updated: 13:03, 28/04/2025

BAC GIANG – On the evening of April 27 (the 30th day of the third lunar month), the People's Committee of Luc Nam District, Bac Giang Province, held the opening ceremony of the 2025 Suoi Mo Temple Festival.

The Suoi Mo Temple Festival is held annually from the 30th day of the third lunar month to the 2nd day of the fourth lunar month to honor Saint Mother Thuong Ngan, Que Mi Nuong.

A performance at the festival opening ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, delegates and visitors enjoyed a theatrical performance recounting the legend of Princess Que Mi Nuong helping the people clear waterways to serve agricultural production and daily life.

Following the opening ceremony was a procession, during which villagers from Nghia Phuong Commune presented offerings at Ha Temple, Trung Temple and Thuong Temple. Throughout the festival days, locals and visitors can also participate in various traditional folk games.

Earlier, the People's Committee of Luc Nam District held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate the restoration and embellishment of Trung Temple, part of the Suoi Mo scenic and historical complex.

Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the restoration of Trung Temple.

The restoration project was carried out based on the temple’s existing grounds, expanding the surrounding landscape and including key structures such as the Temple of Saint Mother Thuong Ngan (dedicated to Princess Que Mi Nuong), a shrine to Quan Hoang Ca (a revered mandarin general) and facilities for management and reception.

The completion of the architectural and landscape restoration aims to establish the site as an attractive spiritual and cultural destination for both locals and tourists.
