Festival introduces Hanoi’s iconic heritage, cuisine, handicrafts

The Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2025 was launched on April 11 along the Tran Nhan Tong pedestrian street by the municipal tourism department.

With the theme ‘Hanoi – World Heritage Destination’, the event attracted the participation of 80 booths from famous tourist areas, traditional villages, tourism businesses, and gift production and trading establishments in Hanoi as well as other localities across the country.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Dang Huong Giang, Director of the Hanoi Tourism Department, emphasised that the programme aims to honour the cultural heritage values of the capital city while spreading love for Hanoi to domestic and international visitors.

During the three-day festival, visitors can check in with space recreating iconic locations in Hanoi, such as the Old Quarter, ancient streets, the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, and the Temple of Literature.

The more than 80 booths at the event are displaying products from Hanoi’s popular craft villages, such as Bat Trang ceramics, Van Phuc silk, Phu Vinh bamboo weaving, and Ha Thai lacquerware

The festival also introduces Hanoi’s popular tourism gifts as well as a space for promoting tour routes, showcasing unique tourism products, offering tour vouchers, and presenting promotional programs and discounts from travel companies, accommodations, tourist sites, and airlines.

Festivalgoers can also enjoy many performances of Hanoi's intangible cultural heritage, such as Ca Tru, Ai Lai and Do folk singing, and water puppetry.
