Hai Phong Party delegation visits and works with Bac Giang
BAC GIANG - On the afternoon of April 26, a delegation from the Hai Phong City Party Committee, led by Nguyen Dinh Chuyen, Member of the Standing Committee and Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Hai Phong City Party Committee, visited and worked in Bac Giang Province.
The delegation was received by Nguyen Thi Huong, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Viet Dung, Chairman of the Provincial Party Inspection Committee; Nguyen Van Dung, Head of the Provincial Commission for Publicity and Mass Mobilization and leaders of the Department of Home Affairs, Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Veterans Association.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Nguyen Thi Huong expressed her pleasure at welcoming the delegation. She briefed the guests on Bac Giang’s characteristics, potential and socio-economic development.
Despite handling many important tasks simultaneously, Bac Giang achieved outstanding results in the first quarter of 2025, including leading the country in economic growth, maintaining budget revenue targets, improving cultural, health, and education sectors, and achieving fourth place nationwide in the national excellent student contest, she highlighted.
Bac Giang is also focusing on administrative reform, particularly the restructuring of provincial and communal administrative units without establishing district-level units. The province is finalizing its merger proposals to submit to the central government.
Nguyen Dinh Chuyen congratulated Bac Giang on its achievements and shared that Hai Phong is also actively implementing administrative mergers, including the proposed merger with Hai Duong to form Hai Phong City, which has received strong public support.

Both sides expressed the desire to strengthen cooperation in Party building, national defense, security and socio-economic development in the future.
On this occasion, the Hai Phong delegation donated 500 million VND (over 21,700 USD) to Bac Giang’s "Gratitude Fund."
Earlier, as part of the trip, the delegation visited and presented gifts to local authorities and people in Truong Son and Luc Son commune (Luc Nam District) and Tan Moc commune (Luc Ngan District) - former evacuation sites of the Hai Phong City Party Committee during the resistance war against the French. This activity was part of the events marking the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong’s liberation (May 13, 1955–2025).
