Minister of Industry and Trade urges Bac Giang to synchronously implement solutions to lead country in growth
BAC GIANG - The Government delegation led by Nguyen Hong Dien, member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Industry and Trade on March 27 worked with Bac Giang province on production, business, construction investment, import and export in the province.
Despite facing many difficulties and challenges in 2025, under the close direction of the Central Government, support from ministries and branches and efforts from the locality, Bac Giang's socio-economic performance in the first 3 months of the year achieved outstanding results.

The Gross Regional Domestic Production (GRDP) in the first quarter was estimated at about 14.8%. Key manufacturing sectors maintained good growth; agricultural production continued to be stable, ensuring the plan. Trade and services recovered strongly while export value maintained stable growth rate.
Total import and export value in the first 3 months of the year hit 16.6 billion USD, up 61.1% over the same period last year. Of which, export reached 8.44 billion USD, up 41.9%; import reached 8.17 billion USD, up 67.1%.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Viet Oanh informed that basically Bac Giang's socio-economic indicators in the first months of the year all exceeded the target.
In the coming years, the province will continue to promote service development, attract many investors in the service sector; focus on site clearance to soon put industrial parks into operation. Regarding difficulties and obstacles, Bac Giang hoped to have them resolved soon.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Gau emphasized that Bac Giang is determined to carry out all tasks, some of which were scheduled to be implemented in 2 months but were completed in 10 days while many were shortened to save time and promote growth.
The province continues to strive to complete the socio-economic goals set for the year.
The recommendations of Bac Giang province were answered by representatives of relevant ministries and branches, suggesting a number of solutions to promote local socio-economic development.
Concluding the meeting, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien acknowledged and highly appreciated the socio-economic development results of Bac Giang province in recent times.
He requested the province to closely follow the growth target, pay attention to removing difficulties and obstacles for each enterprise in the area, continue to reform administrative procedures.
The province and the electricity sector should create the most favorable conditions for the construction of power projects.

The Minister expected that with the above synchronous and drastic solutions, Bac Giang will make an important contribution to the whole country in achieving the growth target of 8% in 2025 while maintaining its leading growth position in the country.
Regarding the recommendations, the Minister requested relevant agencies to provide specific written responses to the province.
Previously, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien and his delegation visited the investment project to build and operate infrastructure of Yen Lu Industrial Park and Dong Viet Bridge (Bac Giang city).
BAC GIANG – Thanks to many active support solutions in labor market connection and information, in the first quarter of this year, functional sectors and localities in Bac Giang province have supported businesses to recruit more than 35,000 new laborers, exceeding 5,000 people compared to forecast demand.
BAC GIANG - The Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee (PPC) has just coordinated with the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel) to sign a memorandum of understanding to implement Resolution No. 57 - NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation (Resolution No. 57).

BAC GIANG - Currently, lychee flowers are blooming in the northern province of Bac Giang, forecasting a bumper crop this year. In order to facilitate the consumption of the product both domestically and internationally, the authorities, local governments and gardeners are well preparing conditions so as to bring the special fruits to more markets.
BAC GIANG - The People's Committee of Bac Giang province has just issued Decision No. 247/QD-UBND (dated March 21, 2025) on approving the investment policy and the investor of the project to export the 220 kV Yen Dung Substation and connect to the 110 kV line of Pha Lai Power Plant - Yen Dung 110 kV Substation of Bac Giang province.
