Hoang Manh Ha, head of the Information and Education, and Mass Mobilisation Board of the Lang Giang district Party Committee, briefs the officials and civil servants in the agency on streamlining and restructuring of the political system. |
The restructuring of the political system nationwide in general, and in the province in particular, has been carried out decisively, urgently, smoothly, and harmoniously, with the motto "running while queuing," and the spirit of "The central government does not wait for the localities, the province does not wait for the districts, and the districts do not wait for the grassroots authorities."
This effort has received high consensus from officials, civil servants, and public employees in agencies, units, and localities.
Nguyen Quang Thien, former Chairman of the Trade Union of the provincial agriculture and rural development sector, said that immediately after the provincial Party Committee approved the proposal to streamline and reorganise the political system in Bac Giang, which included the dissolution of the agriculture and rural development sector’s Trade Union, he proactively proposed the Chairperson of the provincial Labour Federation allow him to retire early to facilitate the staff restructuring.
Thien was born in May 1968, and according to regulations, he will retire in the next five years. He has been evaluated as a capable official who has consistently excelled in his duties over the past five years.
However, with the responsibility of a Party member, on February 10, he voluntarily submitted an application for early retirement.
Similarly, Vi Van Thang, deputy head of the Information and Education, and Mass Mobilisation Board of the Lang Giang district Party Committee, also applied for early retirement to the district Party Committee's Organisation Board and Standing Board.
As of early March 2025, the provincial Party Committee’s Organisation Department had received 21 applications, and the Department of Home Affairs had received 123 applications from officials, civil servants, and public employees for early retirement in accordance with Decree No. 178 of the Government.
The reality shows that the active involvement of the entire political system in streamlining and restructuring the apparatus has attracted widespread attention and support from all social classes.
Than Thi Thu, a resident of Neo residential area, Tay Yen Tu town, Son Dong district, said: "We fully support the Party and State's policy of streamlining the apparatus as it contributes to saving the budget and making the operations of agencies, units, and localities more effective."
According to Bui The Chung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee in charge of the Party organisations of the provincial Party agencies, the officials apply for early retirement for the country and the overall benefit, while those staying are shouldering the work of the nation.
Therefore, it is necessary for all officials, especially young ones, to focus on improving their knowledge and lifelong learning as emphasised by Party General Secretary To Lam, in order to become "battle-tested" officials who can always complete the assigned tasks excellently, deserving the expectations of those who have retired early.
Therefore, each official and Party member must deeply understand that the apparatus streamlining is to ensure that the agencies, organisations, and units within the political system operate more effectively and efficiently; eliminate overlaps in functions and tasks; and enhance the leadership and ruling role of the Party, meeting the requirements of the new period.
