Many cultural and tourism activities to be held in Hue in March and April
Hue City has just announced a number of cultural and tourism events to be held in March and April of 2025 to create more tourism products for locals and tourists to Hue during this time.
Accordingly, on March 21 and 22, the first Tinh Hoa Viet Vo (quintessence of Vietnamese martial arts) Festival will take place in the Ngo Mon and Vo Mieu areas. This will certainly be an attractive destination for those who love traditional martial arts.

The National Tourism Year – Hue 2025 will open along the Huong (Perfume) River at 8:10 p.m. on March 25. The event will feature a semi-realistic performance staged on water and land, blending water screens, visual mapping, LED floor displays, pyrotechnic effects, hot air balloons, paragliding, dense smoke effects, and an immersive sound and lighting setup.
After the opening night on March 26, Hue will be bustling with exhibition activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of southern liberation and national reunification.
Notably, for the first time, the two newly established districts of Hue City — Thuan Hoa and Phu Xuan — will jointly organise a traditional boat race.
Just two days after the performance on the river, in the mountainous district of A Luoi, the Ca Tu, Ta oih, and Pa Co ethnic people will play the flute and beat the gong to invite visitors to attend the A Luoi Highland Spring Festival. The festival will take place over two days, from March 28 to 29, at the A Luoi ethnic cultural village.
In this space, visitors will immerse themselves in the songs and dances that tilt the mountains and forests and enjoy the typical dishes of the ethnic groups living along the Truong Son range, with a touch of the Northwest culinary culture.
In addition, Hue Nam Temple Festival will take place over two days, March 30 and April 1.
During the VNExpress Marathon Hue on April 6, Hue is also expected to have a Hue Mega Booming music night with folk melodies performed in a new style with a modern orchestra.
A playground for those who love ornamental plants will also be opened on the Huong River in April, lasting for five days from April 10 to April 14.
From April 26 to May 1, many events will take place in Hue, including a Music Festival for young people scheduled from April 29 to May 1, Hue International Cuisine Exchange Programme (April 28 to May 3, and activities to celebrate the National Reunification Day.
April is also the opening month for the Summer Festival, lasting from April to June, in Hue - the Heritage City.
