Currently, on average, every day and night, the whole city has about 250 tonnes of garbage collected, transported and disposed. The collection and disposing rate reaches 98.6%. There are 5 units responsible for collecting and disposing household waste.

The plant converting domestic and industrial solid waste into energy in Nham Bien ward is put into operation in December 2024.
