Bac Giang City applies many solutions to preserve landscape and urban environment
BAC GIANG - With a large area and population after administrative unit arrangement, Bac Giang city (Bac Giang province) has applied many solutions to protect the landscape and urban environment.
Currently, on average, every day and night, the whole city has about 250 tonnes of garbage collected, transported and disposed. The collection and disposing rate reaches 98.6%. There are 5 units responsible for collecting and disposing household waste.

To ensure a green - clean - beautiful urban landscape, the city has actively invested in preventing and controlling pollution sources; researching and selecting appropriate and effective waste treatment technology. Waste after treatment will create many products such as gas, liquid fuel and solvents.
At the same time, the City People's Committee assigned specialized agencies to focus on removing land clearance obstacles and speeding up the construction progress of 4 garbage stations in the wards of Dong Son, My Do, Ngo Quyen, and Song Mai.
The city witnesses dramatic change in collecting and disposing domestic waste as well as ensuring environmental sanitation.
In Bac Giang city, Party committees and authorities at all levels have recently mobilized the participation of political and social organizations to maintain Green Sunday; propagate, mobilize and raise awareness among residents about the responsibility of sorting waste at source and recommend families to use environmentally friendly products.

The City Women's Union established more than 200 clubs and environmental sanitation groups to gather cadres and members to participate in collecting and disposing waste; replicate the models "Women say no to plastic bags, disposable plastic products", "Limit the use of plastic bags".
