These days, local people in Cam Xuyen village of Xuan Cam commune spend time at the village cultural house to carefully review their fields that are subject to land acquisition to build Xuan Cam - Huong Lam Industrial Park.

After looking at each item on the list, Nguyen Van Bao went to the table to sign in the documents.

He said: “My family has nearly 7 sao (old measuring unit, each equal to 360 square meters) of rice fields, but the State reclaimed 5 sao to build an industrial park. After many years of farming, the fields are now smaller, but I am no longer worried because in many places people have a better life, even become richer when factories and businesses come to the village. I want this place to be like that soon so I immediately agree”.

Most of the people in Cam Xuyen village are confident and excited when the industrial park near the village is about to be built. Therefore, the site clearance work is taking place urgently, with the authorities from the district to the commune and village participating strongly.

Cam Xuyen village needs to clear 26 hectares of rice fields involving more than 500 households. The affected people all agreed to come and declare. The special thing is that the locality is flexible in resolving each specific situation.

To achieve the above results, the commune has promoted and selected prestigious people in the village to participate in the land clearance campaign; promoted the exemplary spirit of party members.

La Van Cuong, Vice Chairman of Xuan Cam Commune People's Committee said: "Land clearance is difficult but it must be done. Therefore, we edited the news broadcast on loudspeakers and social networking platforms so that officials and people know about the policies, goals and benefits of building the industrial park. Along with that, the commune promptly answers questions and suggestions from the people. With the above solutions, the commune's land clearance progress has so far been according to the set plan."

Hiep Hoa district has 3 newly established industrial parks including: Xuan Cam - Huong Lam; Chau Minh - Bac Ly - Huong Lam and Hoa Yen.

Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee Ngo Van Khanh informed: "Adding industrial parks is another opportunity to create a breakthrough in the district's economic development. To put them into operation soon, there must be clean land to hand over to investors. Identifying site clearance as a key task throughout the year, the district developed a plan, set out specific implementation schedules and reviewed regularly. The district strives to complete phase 1 site clearance of the above industrial parks with an area of ​​150 hectares before December 2025".

Recently, Hiep Hoa district has increased the propaganda and communication of land policies and laws as well as the compensation policies when the State acquires land.

Local authority also organized training conferences for officials from the district to the grassroots level where land must be acquired so as to popularize and disseminate the contents of relevant documents; compiled handbooks and summary guides on policies and regulations in site clearance work.

In the first two months of the year, the work of clearing land for the construction of industrial parks in Hiep Hoa district was carried out urgently.

During the implementation process, the district directed officials to closely follow and clearly understand the provisions of the law, avoiding general understanding; ensuring the rights of the people when their land is recovered. Handling arising issues must be done in a flexible and sensitive manner.
