Da Nang Food Tour 2025 Chef Competition showcases culinary excellence
As part of the Da Nang Food Tour 2025 Festival, the Da Nang Food Tour 2025 Chef Competition attracted numerous talented chefs, showcasing their skills in a professionally organised event celebrating culinary excellence.
The Department of Tourism announced the competition results on March 30. The first prize was awarded to Pham Nhat Hieu and Cao Viet from Le Comptoir Danang, while Pham Ngoc Thong and Tran Dinh Khanh from Hilton Garden Inn Da Nang secured the second prize.

The third prize went to Nguyen Van Tuan and Nguyen Thi Hue from Belle Maison Parosand Da Nang, along with Bui Van Nam and Nguyen Kim Phong from Crowne Plaza Danang City Centre.
Additionally, three teams received consolation prizes: representatives from Dong A University, Herbal Pizza & Steak Hoi An, and Hyatt Regency Danang Resort & Spa.
Contestants were challenged to prepare an appetiser and a main course within 60 minutes, with judges scoring based on taste, technique, presentation, storytelling, and professional attire.
Doan Van Tuan, Head Judge from the World Chefs Association, praised the contestants for their creativity and technical expertise while maintaining the authenticity of Vietnamese cuisine.
According to Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the Department of Tourism, cuisine plays a vital role in attracting visitors to Da Nang.
With the Michelin Guide recognising the city as a premier culinary destination in 2025, the competition aimed to highlight local talent and position Da Nang as a top food tourism hub.
