Despite facing numerous difficulties and challenges, the province’s socio-economic development in the first quarter recorded significant achievements, with a growth rate estimated at 13.82%, exceeding projected scenarios and ranking first nationwide. All production sectors witnessed growth, particularly industrial production, which increased by 26.58% compared to the same period last year.

During the meeting, delegates focused on discussing the achievements, existing limitations and obstacles that need to be addressed, and key tasks to focus on in the near future.

In addition to clarifying several issues related to socio-economic development in the first quarter and the concerns raised, Oanh analysed specific solutions.

In terms of lychee sale, attention should be paid to care and compliance with proper processes to improve fruit quality and meet market demands, especially from international markets, he said.

In his concluding remarks, Gau acknowledged and appreciated the efforts and dedication of the entire political system, particularly the roles and contributions of district-level Party secretaries and People's Committee chairpersons.

He emphasised that in the coming period, the top priority is the streamlining of the organisational apparatus. Therefore, he requested the provincial Party Committee's Organisation Board to coordinate with the Party Committee of the provincial People’s Committee and relevant agencies to propose a proper staff arrangement plan based on guiding documents.

Alongside restructuring the administrative apparatus, the provincial Party leader also requested the provincial Party Committee's Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation Board to launch an intensive communication campaign regarding collection of public opinion about the upcoming streamlining of administrative units and the organisational structure.

Noting the heavy tasks ahead, he urged district-level Party secretaries and People's Committee chairpersons to continue promoting their leadership roles and responsibilities in effectively directing the completion of political tasks in their localities until the completion of the commune-level administrative unit merger and the cessation of district-level administrative operations.

Public satisfaction with administrative services improves further

The public had greater satisfaction with the administrative services provided by state agencies in 2024, heard a report presented at the Government’s monthly meeting and conference with local authorities on April 6 to evaluate the socio-economic development situation in March and the first quarter.
