Bac Giang collects nearly 1,500 billion VND of tax arrears

(BGO) – Since early this year, the taxation sector in Bac Giang province has focused on expediting businesses, organizations and individuals to pay nearly 1,500 billion VND (63.3 million USD) of tax arrears to the state budget, reported the provincial Taxation Department.

Among which, 320 billion VND was the debt from previous year and the remaining amount was newly arising debt in 2022.

The collection of tax arrears met the requirement and contributed to increase the provincial domestic budget collection up to 11.4 trillion VND, rising nearly 32 percent year on year and accounting for 91 percent of yearly estimate assigned by the local authority.

The above result was gained thanks to drastic instruction from the provincial Taxation Department since early this year to urge the competent agencies and taxation office at each region to actively review, expedite the tax payers to clear the duty.

Meanwhile, more than 310 inspections were done to prevent tax loss, classify the debt, analyze the reason of tax debt. The sector has cooperated with relevant sectors to control the debt and force to collect the amount by deducting bank account.
