Bac Giang delegation ranks fourth at 2024 National Excellent Chess Championship
BAC GIANG - The 2024 National Excellent Chess Championship was organized by the Vietnam Chess Federation in coordination with the Hai Phong Department of Culture and Sports in Do Son District (Hai Phong City) from August 9 to 19. The tournament attracted 160 athletes from 19 provinces, cities, industries and clubs nationwide.
At the tournament, athletes competed for 8 sets of individual medals for men and women in 4 categories of standard chess, rapid chess, blitz chess, super blitz chess and 4 sets of individual medals for ASEAN chess.

The Bac Giang delegation had 10 players participating in the tournament and won 4 medals (achieving 200% of the set target).
Player Cao Minh Trang won gold medal in the women’s ASEAN rapid chess event; player Luong Hoang Tu Linh won silver medal in the women's super blitz chess event and the bronze medal in the women's blitz chess event; player Doan Thi Van Anh won the bronze medal in the women's ASEAN rapid chess event.

This result helped Bac Giang sports delegation rise to 4th place out of 19 in the medal table.
The tournament offered opportunity for provinces, cities, sectors and clubs to evaluate chess training and education, discover and add outstanding athletes to the national team to participate in international tournaments in the coming time.

BAC GIANG- According to the jujitsu coach of the provincial Center for sports training and competition of Bac Giang province, Bac Giang’s athletes won 7 medals at the 2024 Southeast Asian Jujitsu Championships as of July 7 after 3-day competitions.
BAC GIANG - The 2024 National Youth Chess Championship wrapped up on July 1 after nearly 2,000 dramatic and exciting matches at the Bac Giang Provincial Convention Center.
