Industry is identified as the main pillar, the major driving force to accelerate the economic growth and restructuring in Bac Giang province. To effectively implement this goal, what is the plan to develop local industrial infrastructure and attract the investment from now to 2025?

By 2030, Bac Giang strives to be a key province in modern and sustainable industry and one of the industrial development centers of the region.

Bac Giang develops industrial parks, creates motivation to attract investment.

The Provincial People's Committee (PPC) issued Plan No. 3393/KH-UBND dated July 15, 2022 on the implementation of industrial parks established in the 2022-2025 period with priority given to the establishment of 15 new industrial parks on total planning area of about 835 hectares. The IPMB was assigned to preside over the preparation of zoning and detailed plans for industrial parks then submit them to the Provincial People's Committee for approval.

To date, the province has had 20 industrial parks (8 are in operation) whose plannings have been approved by the PPC on total planning area of nearly 4,600 hectares. Currently, there are 8 new and one expanded industrial parks that received investors submitting documents to the Ministry of Planning and Investment for appraisal and submitting to the Prime Minister for approval of investment policies for infrastructure construction and business projects.

Industrial production has contributed significantly to the economic growth of Bac Giang province.

In addition, the province has paid further attention to the construction of technical infrastructure to meet the needs of industrial park development.

In the coming time, what are solutions the IPMB apply to support businesses which help improve the effectiveness of attracting investment and promoting industrial development?

The IPMB has a number of main solutions, as below.

Firstly, the IPMB highly focuses on improving the investment and business environment that is favorable, equal, open, transparent and friendly to promote investment attraction, business development as well as the provincial competitive index.

Secondly, the infrastructure planning and investment in industrial parks must be done one step ahead while boosting up investment attraction in the industrial park infrastructure to ensure synchronization and availability of land funds to attract investment.

Hoa Phu Industrial Park is invested synchronously and modernly, helping promote the industrial development of Bac Giang province.

Thirdly, the quality of investment promotion work must be proactively and regularly improved, focusing on large corporations and businesses. Local authority will have appropriate support policies for large and important investors, prioritize attracting projects that greatly contribute to the budget, use little labor, have advanced technology and limit impact on the environment.

Finally, the IPMB strengthens state support and management for post-licensing investment activities; regularly grasps the situation and support to handle difficulties. Besides, the authority urges to speed up the implementation of investment projects, regularly propagates and disseminates legal regulations in all fields. At the same time, the IPMB promptly detects and proactively coordinates with functional agencies to inspect, examine and strictly handle violations of laws on investment, construction and environmental protection.
