Bac Giang Fine Arts Exhibition and Awards Ceremony 2024 kicks off
BAC GIANG - On the morning of October 9, the Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee held the opening ceremony of the exhibition and awarding ceremony of Bac Giang Fine Arts Award 2024 at the Provincial Museum.
Previously, in April 2024, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism launched an art composition contest to participate in the exhibition.

The Organizing Committee received 354 works from 163 authors who are students, professional and non-professional artists living and working in the province. The works reflected the cultural, socio-economic life of the province, region and country.
The Art Council selected 92 outstanding works from 78 authors to display at the exhibition and decided to award prizes to 24 works in 2 groups: Over 18 years old and middle and high school students.
According to painter Luong Xuan Doan, Chairman of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, the number of works participating in the exhibition showed the enthusiasm and creativity of painters and sculptors in the province as well as the interest in fine arts of the general public.
The works with real quality selected for display have high value in terms of ideology, art and are new in terms of creative thinking, visual language and use of materials. Through the exhibition, it contributes to spreading the movement of fine arts creation, especially among the young generation.
The Organizing Committee cut the ribbon to open the exhibition and awarded 2 A prizes, 4 B prizes, 6 C prizes and 12 Encouragement prizes to the authors.
The A prize for the 18-year-old group and above went to the work "Happiness" by author Do Ngoc Quan from Bac Giang Fine Arts Association; the A prize for the middle and high school age group was awarded to the work "Peaceful Yard Corner" by author Pham Dan Quynh in Tran Nguyen Han Middle School (Bac Giang City).

Do Ngoc Quan used metal material to create the shape of buds in the work “Happiness”, expressing the desire to rise up in life.
The work "Peaceful Yard Corner" was created by using acrylic material to depict a family reunion in a small yard with the wish for simple everyday happiness.
On this occasion, delegates and many art lovers visited the exhibition area of 92 quality fine art works which realistically and vividly reflect the working life, production and culture of people in different regions, mainly using materials such as: Oil paint, lacquer, wood carving, ceramics, pigments, Do paper, acrylic, silk.
The exhibition will run until October 30 for visitors. This is a practical activity to celebrate the country's major holidays and the 129th anniversary of the founding of Bac Giang province on October 10 (1895-2024).
