Bac Giang: More than 8,000 laborers work through Tet
BAC GIANG - In the first days of the Lunar New Year, while most people are on holiday and return home to reunite with their families, thousands of laborers in the Bac Giang province's industrial parks are still working hard.
According to the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board, during the Lunar New Year this year and in the first days of spring, there were 16 enterprises in the industrial parks of Dinh Tram, Quang Chau, Vietnam Korea, Van Trung (Viet Yen township); Hoa Phu (Hiep Hoa); Song Khe - Noi Hoang (Bac Giang city) with a total of more than 8,000 workers registering to work during Tet (an increase of more than 3,000 people compared to previous holiday).

Some enterprises with many laborers working through the biggest national holiday included Fuyu Precision Technology Co., Ltd. (Quang Chau Industrial Park) with 4,500 workers; Hana Micron Vina Co., Ltd. (Van Trung Industrial Park) with 750 workers; Samkawang Vina Co., Ltd. each with 250 workers...
Such employees received salaries and bonuses according to current regulations of the State. Many enterprises also presented bonuses for diligent work, so workers are excited to go to work during this occasion.
The province's industrial production value (actual) in January 2025 was estimated at over 65.9 trillion VND, up 7.4% over the same period. The export turnover in January hit over 2.56 billion USD, up 12.3% over the same period last year. The province's export markets are mainly China, Republic of Korea, and Japan.
In 2024, Vietnam had eight delegations competing in international and regional Olympiads, with a total of 38 students participating, with the achievements of 12 gold medals, 15 silver medals, 10 bronze medals, and one certificate of merit. Compared to 2023, the number of gold medals increased by four and silver medals increased by three, affirming the strong rise in the quality of education.
As of November 30, more than 17,000 Vietnamese workers had been working legally in Malaysia, according to the Malaysian Ministry of Human Resources.
BAC GIANG - The highest bonus for the Lunar New Year 2025 is 185 million VND (7,780 USD) given to employee at a foreign-invested enterprise in industrial parks in Bac Giang province, reported the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA). This is the bonus level for Vietnamese labour with outstanding achievements.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs (MoLISA), on December 8 organised the 2024 Vietnam Labour Day in Japan.
A framework agreement was recently signed in Halberstadt city, Harz district, Germany’s Saxony-Anhalt state to strengthen the partnership in training and recruiting Vietnamese labourers.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on October 31 hailed labour partnership between Vietnam and Qatar as a traditional area of cooperation that leaders of the two countries have paid much attention to and the two sides can supplement each other.
