The 8th National Sports Festival will open in the evening of November 25 and close on December 10, 2018, with 36 games and 743 competition events. More than 100 outstanding officers, coaches and athletes in Bac Giang delegation will be divided into 10 teams of badminton, track and field, chess, Sepak Takraw, traditional martial art, Vovinam, wushu, shuttlecock kicking, boxing, wrestling to vie for the medal in 68 events of 10 games.

The officers, coaches and athletes are well consolidated with a focus on quality to prepare for a good force and set a clear goal. This year, the delegation has defined several key games such as badminton, shuttlecock kicking, track and field, chess, wrestling, wushu, targetting at 25 – 30 medals of all kinds with 10 – 12 gold medals; 20 position out of 65 provinces, cities and sectors as well as first ranking among the mountainous provinces across the nation.

Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chairman Le Anh Duong expressed that to fulfill the set target, each coach and athlete should highly determine in each competition to show the high spirit of solidarity and honesty toward high achievement that helps affirm both individual and provincial rankings to meet fans’ expectation.

Also, he urged all relevant sectors to pay due attention to giving the utmost support to the athletes so that they will have best physical strength during and in competition while the individuals with special outstanding achievement at the festival will be timely encouraged, honored and rewarded.
