Wrestlers dominate regional championships with 29 golds
Vietnam maintained top spot in the region after winning 29 golds at the 2024 Southeast Asian Wrestling Championship & Oceania Invitational.
The team arrived home safe and sound after five days of competitions which drew eight countries in the region and five from Oceania from September 25-29 in Thailand.

In addition to golds, Vietnamese athletes also took seven silver and six bronze medals in both senior and junior categories.
The results of the championships would be a key element for the national coaches to select the team for the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand in 2025 and the 20th Asian Games in Japan in 2026.
According to the Sports Authority of Vietnam and Vietnam Wrestling Federation, wrestlers will receive strong support to have high results internationally.
BAC GIANG - The 2024 National Roller Sports Youth Championship wrapped up on September 29 after three days of competition. Bac Giang delegation won 22 medals of all kinds.
BAC GIANG- Pham Tien San excellently broke his own record at Berlin Marathon 2024 with a time of 2 hours 22 minutes and 46 seconds, jumping to the 3rd position in Vietnam’s marathon history.
BAC GIANG- The Organizing Board of the 41st Bac Giang Newspaper Half Marathon 2024 has debuted the finisher shirt for runners of different distances.
BAC GIANG - After 7 days of exciting and fierce competition, the 2024 National Chinese Chess Team Championship wrapped up on September 25. Bac Giang delegation won 9 medals of various types. The tournament was jointly organized by the Vietnam Chess Federation and the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang.
BAC GIANG- The Organizing Board of the 41st Bac Giang Newspaper Half Marathon 2024 themed “Convergence in the Sacred Land” on September 24 had a meeting to review the preparation for the tournament. The meeting was hosted by Trinh Van Anh, Editor-in chief of Bac Giang Newspaper and Head of the Organizing Board.
