Bac Giang starts construction of A Lu bridge

(BGO) - A Lu bridge in Bac Giang city was commenced on May 31 as one of the components of project to develop urban areas along the corridor of the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS), the second phase - component project in Bac Giang province.

The project is invested by Bac Giang municipal People’s Committee and constructed by consortium of Thang Long Mechanical Construction Corporation Joint Stock Company and HJC Construction Investment Corporation Joint Stock Company.

Total value of bridge construction and erection hits nearly 300 billion VND (13 million USD) mobilized from loans of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). As schedule, the bridge will be completed and put in use from May 2023.

A Lu bridge is designed to span over Thuong river with total length of 426m. It is constructed by reinforced and prestressed concrete with major bridge width of 19.5m.

To speed up the project execution progress, the municipal People’s Committee has focused on clearing the remaining area, starting construction of the path and utilities.
