Bac Giang wins 108 medals at National Youth Jujitsu Championships

BAC GIANG - After a week of competing at the 2024 National Youth Jujitsu Championships, the Bac Giang team won 108 medals in all events, winning third overal ranking in the U14 and U16 groups.

The 2024 National Jujitsu Youth Championships was organized by the Cao Bang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with Vietnam Sports Administration and the Vietnam Jujitsu Federation from June 3-6 at the Cao Bang Province Sports and Arts Training - Competition Center.

The Organization Board awards the prize to delegations in U16 age group.

This year event attracted 300 athletes from 19 provinces and cities who compete for 164 sets of medals in various weight categories of U14, U16 and U18 in show, individual fighting and duo contents.

Bac Giang delegation had 45 athletes competing in all 3 age groups and won 108 medals of all kinds, including 20 Gold Medals, 23 Silver Medals and 65 Bronze Medals, up 30 medals compared to the 2023 tournament.

With the above excellent achievements, Bac Giang rose to the third overall ranking in 2 age groups U14 and U16.

Some athletes won 2 gold medals at the tournament such as: Chao Y Minh in the men’s U14 Newara Gi and Newara NoGi content, weight class under 34 kg; Tran Huy Lam in men’s U14 Newara Gi and Newara NoGi content, weight class under 60 kg...

The tournament was a chance for athletes to exchange experience and improve their professional qualifications. The event also helped the Organization Board evaluate the training and qualifications of the athletes and select forces to participate in international tournaments.
