Vice Standing Secretary of the Bac Giang provincial Party Committee Than Van Khoa presents followers in congratulation to Bishop Hoang Van Dat of the Bac Ninh Diocese.

He was accompanied by officials of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the provincial Party Committee’s mass mobilization board, the provincial Department of Home Affairs, and the Committee for Catholic Solidarity of Bac Giang.

Bishop Hoang Van Dat of the Bac Ninh Diocese welcomed the delegation.

On behalf of the provincial authorities, Khoa informed the bishop about the outstanding socio-economic achievements of Bac Giang in 2017. He noted that those attainments were greatly contributed by local Catholic followers.

He asked the bishop to continue encouraging Catholics in the province to uphold solidarity and mutual support in economic activities and poverty reduction, adhere to the Party and State’s guidelines and policies, and actively take part in local emulation movements. He also asked the dignitaries to coordinate closely with the local administration to deal with any problems arising in a timely manner.

As the Christmas is coming, the official wished the Catholic dignitaries and followers health and happiness.

Bishop Hoang Van Dat thanked for the greetings and also expressed his wish that authorities and people of Bac Giang province will harvest even greater accomplishments in the years to come.

On this occasion, officials of the provincial Department of Home Affairs presented gifts at the churches of the parishes of Thiet Nham in Minh Duc commune (Viet Yen district), My Loc in My Ha commune (Lang Giang district), Tan An in An Thuong commune (Yen The district), and Bi Noi in Ngoc Thien commune (Tan Yen district).
