Updated: 15:36, 03/08/2023
Blackpink members have shared photos of themselves wearing traditional Vietnamese conical hats on their social media, accompanied by captions that say “thank you” to local fans.

On Wednesday, Jennie’s Instagram displayed several photos and videos of the group’s performance in Hanoi over the weekend, including a photo of her wearing a conical hat and a video of her dancing to the Vietnamese song "See Tinh." She wrote in the accompanying caption: "Hanoi thank you so much for two amazing nights!!!"

Bandmate Rosé also uploaded several posts documenting her time in the capital of Vietnam, including photos and videos of her backstage and a photo of a cake gifted to the group by their Vietnamese fanbase. The cake was decorated in black, white, and pink, with figures of the group’s four members attached.

Blackpink’s oldest member Jisoo posted photos of her at the Hanoi concerts to her Instagram account as well. She wrote in the caption: "I had such a good time in Vietnam, which I just visited for the first time! I got a lot of energy from [Blackpink’s fandom] BLINK! See you soon. I love you."

Lisa also wrote in Vietnamese on her Instagram account: "Hanoi! Chung ta se som gap lai nhau" (Hanoi! We will see each other again soon).

Blackpink was formed in 2016 and consists of four members: Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Rosé.

The group's shows at Hanoi’s My Dinh National Stadium on July 29 and 30, which marked the conclusion of their "Born Pink" world tour, were attended by an estimated 70,000 people.

Begun late last year, "Born Pink" has grossed around US$163.8 million so far and sold more than 900,000 tickets.

This makes it the highest grossing girl group tour of all time, surpassing the previous record set by the Spice Girls' 2019 Reunion Tour ($78.2 million).
