Book street to host event encouraging reading culture

The Hanoi Book Street will host a promotional event entitled ‘Languages and Origin’ from October 28 to 30, with various activities honouring traditional Vietnamese culture and encouraging reading culture throughout the community.
At the event, readers can shop for book titles, publications, and 2023 calendar blocks at a discounted price of up to 50%. They will also have an opportunity to meet and talk with famous authors and translators.

A space will be installed to display many products imbued with Vietnamese cultures, such as Ao Dai, bamboo and rattan products, Vietnamese tea and coffee.
An exhibition of meditation paintings by yoga practitioner Vo Thi Minh Hue, live sketching, and various games will be scheduled at the event.
A book donation programme will be launched on the occasion, calling readers to donate both old and new books for young Overseas Vietnamese people in Berlin, Germany.
