This design according to Cong Tri was made using taffeta fabric. It was completed after 450 hours using the macrame crochet technique to add diamond, circle and dahlia motifs on the dress. The negative space helps accentuate her figure and exude an elegant look.
Cabello's team had been working with the designer to prepare for the event since earlier this year after seeing his collections in Vogue.
The same dress was worn by New Zealand singer Lorde when she performed on "The Late Late Show with James Cordon" last August.
Meanwhile, this is the second time the singer of the hit song 'Havana' dons a Cong Tri outfit.
She wore a beige one-sleeved top with a puffed shoulder for 2019 iHeartRadio Music Festival in September.
Camila Cabello is a Cuban-American singer. She shot to fame after auditioning for The X Factor in 2012 and becoming a member of female group Fifth Harmony. After announcing her departure from the group in late 2016, she became an international superstar after the success of Havana.
The 25-year-old singer has pocketed multiple awards during her 10-year career, including two Latin Grammy Awards, four American Music Awards and a Billboard Music Award.
Cong Tri, born in Da Nang in 1978, is a member of Asian Fashion Association. He has created dresses for many A-list celebrities like Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez, Charlize Theron, former U.S. first lady Michelle Obama, Rose (BLACKPINK), and Rebecca Ferguson.
